WESTLAND (WWJ) – Westland police are asking for the public’s help to find a person of interest in the beating and robbery of an elderly man.

Police want to speak to 35-year-old parole absconder Jack Edward Todd about an assault on a 71-year-old Westland resident in the early morning hours of Sept. 7.

Police said the victim suffered multiple injuries including skeletal fractures which caused him to lose consciousness.

Todd is currently an absconder from parole for assault with intent to commit robbery and identity theft convictions, according to police.
