Teen Found Dead In Ditch Near Transmission Tower

SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) - Police in Macomb County are investigating after an 18-year-old boy was found dead in a ditch underneath a transmission tower.

Police say the teen's body was discovered around 7:25 a.m. Tuesday along Jewell Road just south of 26 Mile Road in Shelby Township.

Officers arrived on the scene and confirmed the teen was dead. At this time, his cause of death is not known.

The teen's name is being withheld until his family is notified.

An investigation is ongoing.
