Every Kid Matters: The Case For Early Childhood Development, September 30, 2015

WWJ Newsradio 950, in partnership with the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation and The Kresge Foundation, hosting a special broadcast focusing on healthy moms during pregnancy and healthy starts for baby during  the Wednesday, September 30 broadcast.

WWJ's Newsradio 950's Vickie Thomas hosted the discussion on infant mortality and better outcomes for mom and baby with an emphasis on pre-natal and post birth care. 

Panelists include:

Dr. Sonia Hassan -- Associate Dean for Maternal, Perinatal and Child Health at Wayne State University.

Denise Evans of Strong Beginnings - Grand Valley State.

Karen Gray Sheffield -- Greater Detroit Area - -Director at St. John Providence Health System.

WWJ City Beat Reporter Vickie Thomas will host "Every Kid Matters: The Case for Early Childhood Investment"  at 7 p.m. the last Wednesday of each month.  This year-long series will bring awareness to the important issues that affect early childhood, and the steps needed to ensure  that Michigan's children have an equal opportunity to realize their full potential in school, work and life.
