Court Documents: Charles Pugh Watched Porn With Teen, Made Sexual Advances

DETROIT (WWJ) - More sordid allegations have surfaced surrounding former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh and his alleged improper interactions with teenage boys.

According to court documents, Pugh regularly viewed gay pornography while a Cass Technical High School student cleaned his house.

The now-22-year-old man, Nathaniel Hill, also alleged that Pugh often watched porn actors who appeared to be "very young."

"It was not unusual for me for me to come into a room and find pornographic material on Mr. Pugh's computer and talk to him while the material was visible," Hill said. "Pornography was a frequent backdrop to activities at Mr. Pugh's home while I was there."

Hill, who is currently in prison serving time for carjacking, may be asked to testify in a civil suit against Pugh.

In an affidavit, Hill says Pugh hired him as an intern/personal assistant without a work permit when he was 14 or 15 years old, knew he didn't have his driver's license, but allowed him to drive as part of the job. Hill also said he, at age 16, sent photo of himself in his underwear to Pugh, and that the older man asked to see more.

Hill said it was clear to him that Pugh was attracted to teen boys, and he felt uncomfortable at times when it seemed Pugh was making sexual advances toward him.

All of this allegedly took place, Hill said, while Pugh worked at Fox 2 News, while he was running for Detroit City Council and while he served at City Council President.

This latest comes after a complaint filed last year alleged Pugh sent suggestive texts and spent money on another teenage boy as part of a sexual grooming plan. The boy's lawyer has said that Detroit Public Schools failed to protect his client from Pugh, who met the teen through a mentoring program at Frederick Douglass High School. Pugh has denied any wrongdoing.

Pugh abruptly quit his city council position two years ago and relocated to Brooklyn, New York.
