Police Investigate Death Of Man Found Fatally Shot At Park

SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - Police say the death of a 19-year-old man who was found at a Saginaw park with an apparent gunshot wound is being investigated as a homicide.

The Saginaw News reports the body of Laquavis Cooper was found after Saginaw police responded Sunday to Fordney Park on the city's west side.

Cooper's death is the eighth homicide in Saginaw in this year. Investigators are seeking tips from anyone with information about the case.
