Help Sought To ID Suspects In Oakland Township Screwdriver Stabbing [VIDEO]

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - While an Oakland County man is recovering from numerous stab wounds — authorities are looking for help to find his attackers.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies say the assault happened at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday outside a home on Lyndon Circle, inside the Woodland Estates mobile home park in Oakland Township.

The 58-year-old victim was leaving for work when he spotted four people inside his Jeep, sheriff's officials say. When he confronted them, one stabbed him about a dozen times in the stomach and back with a screwdriver. The suspects fled in a Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix and victim was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to recover.

Later investigators found that the suspects were spotted just prior to the stabbing at a Valero gas station/party story at 32 Mile and Rochester Rd, about a mile away from the victim's home.

Surveillance video of the suspect was released to the media in hope someone might recognize them. One is described as one white male, one black male, one white female and one black female — all in their early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oakland County Sheriff's tip line at 1-888-TURN-1-IN.

(Authorities note that the suspects are believed to be from the Oakland County area and are not related to the "Felony Lane Gang," recently accused of stealing purses from parked cars across metro Detroit).
