DETROIT (WWJ) – Don’t quit quitting. It’s never to late to stop. Maybe you’ve said these phases to yourself and just need a little more support to finally quit smoking for good.

Thursday is the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout and it’s another opportunity for smokers to give up the habit once and for all reports WWJ health reporter Dr. Deanna Lites has more.

The Smokeout encourages people to quit or make a plan to quit.

“Unfortunately in Washtenaw County, with our most recent county-wide health survey, we are seeing an increase in the number of adults smoking,” said Cerniglia.
