Mount Clemens Bank Robber Tells Teller He Has A Bomb [PHOTOS]

MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - Macomb County authorities are looking for a bank robber who claimed to have a bomb.

Sheriff's officials released surveillance photos of the suspect in the robbery at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at a Talmer Bank & Trust branch in the 100-block of North Main Street in Mount Clemens.

Investigators say the man walked into the bank and "produced a note which implied that he had a bomb." He fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen running across the parking lot behind the Three Blind Mice Bar.

No explosives were found at the scene and no one was injured.

Witnesses described the suspect as a thin, black male, about 20 years old, around 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 140 lbs.  He was wearing a striped shirt under a blue hoodie, black jeans, a large diamond earring, and a University Michigan baseball cap.  The cap was a "trucker-style" cap with white mesh on the back and a yellow (maize) block "M" on the bill.

An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photos or who has any information about this robbery is urged to call the Macomb County Sheriff's Office at  586-307-9412.
