Donating Clothing Made Easy With New 'Give Back Box'

DETROIT (WWJ) - On this Giving Tuesday, a non-profit organization has launched a new way to make it easier for people to give,

Goodwill Industries has joined forces with major retailers — including as Overstock.com — to provide online customers a new way to donate their clothes. It's called the "Give Back Box."

Vice President of Goodwill Industries Michael Meyer says if you order online from one of the retailers, you can reuse their shipping boxes, and attach a printable pre-paid shipping label (found at this link) to the box.

"Either take that box to any UPS store location, or put it out on your front porch and your postal carrier will pick it up and deliver it to the local community Goodwill," Meyers told WWJ's Zahra Huber.

"The shipping label is free to the shopper, which becomes a donor, and it givers the opportunity to use that box for a second purpose."

Other partners include Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft, Asics, Dockers, Levi, Bonton and StyleUpGirl.com.
