'Armed And Dangerous' Man Wanted In Parking Lot Purse Snatching [SKETCH]

SCIO TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Authorities are looking for help to identify an armed purse snatcher.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's officials say the man robbed a 69-year-old woman of her handbag as she was getting out of her car outside the Walnut Glen Condominium complex — in the 1100 block of Joyce Lane in Scio Township — at around 9 p.m. last Sunday.

In the struggle over the purse, investigators say, the victim received suffered a cut to her arm.

The suspect, seen in a composite sketch released Tuesday, is described as a light-complected man of an unknown ethnicity in his 20s. He's around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 150 lbs. with a very thin "pencil" mustache on his unshaven face. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a wearing black hoodie sweatshirt and dark pants.

Sheriff's officials say he should be considered armed and dangerous
