WARREN (WWJ) – Warren Police say several people were arrested and one woman was injured after a fight broke out during a holiday gathering at a UAW Hall.

Police say the initial call came in Wednesday night about shots fired at the UAW-Local 869 on Mound Road near 9 Mile Road.

Officers arrived on the scene to find an unruly crowd in the parking lot and one woman who had been hit over the head with a bottle.

Police say no weapons were recovered, but several people were arrested after refusing to leave the scene when officers told them to move along.

The cause of the fight remains under investigation. Police believe it started inside the hall and spilled out into the parking lot.

Names of those involved have not yet been released. Those arrested are facing various charges.

The injured woman is expected to be okay.
