'Pure Michigan' Spoof Pokes Fun At Flint Water Crisis [VIDEO]

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - He's poked fun at the Detroit Lions, Jim Harbaugh's pants, and Michigan's winter weather.

Now, YouTube video creator John Kerfoot is targeting the Flint water crisis.

In a highly sarcastic new video, the Kerfoot jabs the city's struggling economy and crime rate before focusing on Flint's water supply.

"Perhaps the city's best-kept secret is the Flint River," the narrator (Kerfot himself) purrs. "This natural treasure provides the people with the best H2O in the Great Lakes state. And because it's not treated with any chemicals, Flint has the finest drinking water in the country."

"All credit goes to state officials — especially Governor Rick Snyder —  for spending the extra cost for a lifetime of enrichment," he adds.

The one-minute "Pure Michigan" parody video also mentions Flint-native filmmaker Michael Moore, who recently called for Snyder's arrest for his alleged wrongdoing in connection with the water crisis and led a protest in Flint last weekend.

As of Friday morning, the video had a few more than 6,000 views.

What do you think? Did the clip make you chuckle, or is this not a laughing matter?
