The Detroit Red Wings are set to face off with the Colorado Avalanche Saturday February 27 in Colorado for their Stadium Series game at Coors Field.
Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard will debut a new mask, which has some series Detroit ties.
Since the Red Wings and Avalanche are playing on a baseball field, Howard is honoring Detroit Tigers legends on the mask he will wear.
Kirk Gibson, Alan Trammell, Sparky Anderson, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline and Ernie Harwell are all featured on the mask.
