Police Alert Residents About Franklin, Bingham Farms Home Break-Ins

FRANKLIN (WWJ) - Police in a pair of Oakland County communities are asking residents to be on alert after several homes that are for sale were broken into.

Franklin-Bingham Farms police say the crooks are prying doors open on homes in the area of 14 Mile Road, between Telegraph and Inkster. Multiple break-ins have been reported in the past two weeks and police say kitchen appliances, in particular, are being targeted.

People in the area should be on the lookout for large trucks or van parked in driveways.

Anyone who sees something suspicious is urged to call 911 or the Franklin-Bingham Farms police at 248-626-5444 or 911.
