Home Depot Looking To Hire 1,500 In Metro Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - The help wanted sign is posted at Home Depot as the home improvement retailer is looking to hire 1,500 people in the Detroit area.

Job openings include sales, operations and cashier positions across all departments, from the lumber aisle to the Pro desk to outside garden — with permanent full-time, part-time and seasonal positions available.

The Home Depot's 75 distribution facilities also are seeking new associates.

"There's no better time to join our team than spring, whether you're a college student, recent grad or a veteran hoping to build a career, a retiree who wants a fun job, or anyone who simply enjoys home improvement," said Tim Crow, executive vice president of Human Resources.

All interested candidates must apply online:

In all, Home Depot is looking to hire 80,000 people for the spring season, which is the busiest time of the year.
