Duggan To Give State Of City Address At Detroit Church
DETROIT (AP) — The annual State of the City Address will be held at an east side Detroit church.
Mayor Mike Duggan's speaking points were not revealed ahead of Tuesday night's event at Second Ebenezer Church.
He told residents last year that fixing Detroit's beleaguered neighborhoods were at the top of his list.
His administration has demolished more than 6,000 of an estimated 40,000 vacant houses. The city also has continued an ambitious program rehabbing and auctioning off others owned by the city.
Duggan has been mayor since the start of 2014.
