DETROIT (WWJ) – Several cities have declared snow emergencies so people who park their cars on the street need to move them to allow plows through.

So far snow emergencies have been declared in:

Auburn Hills
Dearborn Heights
Garden City in effect at midnight.
Oak Park, which goes into effect at 5 a.m. Thursday
Shelby Township

If cars and trucks aren’t moved off the streets, owners could be ticketed.
