DETROIT (WWJ) – Charges are pending against a Detroit man who was driving 80 miles per hour in a neighborhood and then led police on a chase.

Michigan State Police say the suspect was spotted speeding on Waltham Street near Greiner and then driving on Seven Mile and the wrong way on I-94 before he was spotted on Chene.

That’s when state police were able to force the car off the road. The 24-year old driver was caught after he ran into a fenced-in lot.

He was wanted on two warrants including probation violation. A Detroit cop car, which was involved in the chase, crashed. The officer had minor injuries.
