89-Year-Old Woman Dies After Losing Control Of Car On I-94 Service Drive
DETROIT (WWJ) - An early morning accident claims the life of an 89-year-old woman.
Detroit Police Officer Dan Donakowski says the incident occurred around 9 a.m. Sunday on the I-94 service drive near 16th Street.
"Something caused her to hit the gas on her vehicle where she lost control and ended up on the 94 freeway," said Donakowski.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
No other details of the accident were given. The identity of the woman is not being released pending notification of family.
