DTE Works To Correct Equipment Problem At Fermi 2 Plant
FRENCHTOWN TWP. (AP) - DTE Energy Co. says it's working to correct an equipment problem at Fermi 2 nuclear power plant in southeastern Michigan.
DTE spokesman Stephen Tait says repairs are being made to part of the plant's feed water system that was "giving us trouble." He told the Monroe News the plant has been operating at reduced power since Saturday and it's expected to be "back to 100 percent soon."
Tait says Fermi 2 remains operational during the work. The Detroit-based utility's plant is located along Lake Erie in Monroe County's Frenchtown Township.
