ROSEVILLE (WWJ) – Authorities say a 14-year-old boy is recovering at the hospital after being hit by a car while leaving Roseville High School.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon near Common Road and Glenhurst Street.

Police say numerous witnesses indicated that the boy “was not paying attention and stepped out in front of the vehicle that struck him.”

The teen was transported to a local hospital and was last reported in stable condition.

The accident remains under investigation but police say the driver of the vehicle is unlikely to face any charges.
