Hillary Clinton, Mayor Weaver And Residents Sound Off On Flint Water Crisis Episode Of 'Steve Harvey'

On Monday's episode of "Steve Harvey," Steve dedicates the entire hour to the water crisis in Flint, Mich., with an audience full of residents, who were bussed in from Flint. The hour will include interviews with presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton as well as the mayor of Flint, Karen Weaver. "Steve Harvey" can be seen locally on CBS 62 weekdays at 4 p.m.

Secretary Clinton talked about her recent visit to Flint and what conclusions she drew from mistakes that led to the city's water supply becoming contaminated with lead. "Everything I feared about what had happened there actually understated the impact that drinking lead contaminated water for nearly two years has had on that community," said Secretary Clinton.

"This all happened because honestly the governor there wanted to save money," she added.

Mayor Weaver joins the conversation, with an inside look at what needs to be done to fix the problem and how much money it will cost. She said that the $2-million they are paying the National Guard to hand out water, should be money that they give to their local residents to do the same job.
