ROMULUS (WWJ) – A murder investigation is unfolding in Romulus after a body was discovered in a city park.

Police confirmed that the body was discovered Thursday morning near a car parked at St. John’s Lodge Community Park, near Merriman and Henry Ruff roads.

Other details, including the victim’s identity and possible cause of death, weren’t immediately clear.

The case is being investigated as a murder, according to police.

The Michigan State Police Crime Lab is assisting Romulus police in the investigation, which is ongoing.
