'Weird Guy' Humorously Edited Into Royal Oak Arby's Crash News Video

By @GeorgeJFox

You might remember Andrew Bowser from another Detroit story. This is the second time he's shown up as a "weird guy" in local news video.

In 2015 he portrayed an enthusiastic follower of the Satanic Temple of Detroit at their unveiling of the Bamphomet statue. If the pure absurdity doesn't give the bit away -- his YouTube channel's description lets us in on the joke, "Comedy videos made by Andrew Bowser and the Official home of Onyx the Fortuitous, Slayer of the Bright Realm!"

Now he's back at it again, this time releasing a doctored video of himself as an oddball Arby's employee. The real story is from a 2011 WXYZ video involving a car that crashed into the fast food restaurant on Woodward Ave in Royal Oak.

Bowser tells his fictitious and humorously absurd side of the story involving Dave Mathews Band, Andre the Giant, a judgmental shift manager, a shadow zone and Mr. Belvedere.

Thankfully, "the house that beef built" sustained only superficial damage and those involved were not seriously hurt.

In an email, Bowser tells us he has no ties to Metro Detroit other than, "seeing that Satanist video and wanting to splice myself in!"

Subscribe to Andrew Bowser on YouTube for more fun videos. Hopefully Detroit will continue to be his muse.
