Shelby Township Police Officer's Viral Photo Lesson Goes Worldwide

Hi everyone! I'm in a class today talking about Internet safety. Want to show how fast those posted pictures can spread....

It was intended as a lesson for high school students about how a photo can spread across the Internet, but after 24 hours the photo had reached nearly 350k people on Facebook.

Standing in front of a white board with the date March 24, 2016 and the words "Like", "Share", "Comment" and "Re-post" Officer L from the Shelby Township Police Department posed with a big smile and a sign.

The word "LOOK" with eyes drawn in the Os amused some users whose mind-in-the-gutter status is unconfirmed. The apparently un-intentionally funny placement of the Os and dots across the female officer's chest didn't go un-noticed.

The PD's page replied with an Angel emoji to this Facebook comment posted by Beth Whight Morales, "This is a great idea but maybe next time don't put boobs in the sign.... Or on the other hand, maybe the point is that it gets shared faster that way."

"C'mon...they are eyes! Although...I was talking to high school kids, so maybe they didn't see eyes either .... -L" wrote Officer L in a reply to a comment photo.

Plausible deniability. Well played Officer L.

The vast majority of comments took the high road, followed instructions and actually posted where they were seeing the photo including one person in Mariehamn, Åland Island, Finland.

At the time of this post, the photo had almost 7k shares and 3.5k comments and 3.3k likes.
