Tips Wanted To ID Suspect In Novi Pharmacy Smash And Grab [PHOTO]

NOVI (WWJ) - Police in Novi are looking for help to identify a man who got away with a garbage bag full of drugs from a local pharmacy.

At around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, police say the suspect smashed his way into Liberty Pharmacy.

Police said the man was seen on security video kicking in a door of an adjacent doctor's office in a building, at 10 Mile Road and Haggerty, which houses several medical businesses.

Once inside the pharmacy, police said, he selected "various non-controlled medications" from shelves and stuffed them into his bag. Police said the robber later tried to take a safe out of the building, but couldn't because it was too big.

The suspect is described a white, male, around 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt, blue pants, black Under Armor tennis shoes with white accents, a black ski mask and black gloves. He fled on foot.

A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to an arrest in this case.

Anyone who may know the pictured suspect or who has any information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-SPEAK-Up. Tips may also be submitted online at www.1800speakup.org, or you can text CSM and your tip to 274637.
