DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are looking for a group of men who were involved in two robberies at a west side gas station in just one hour.

The crimes occurred early last Tuesday, March 22 at a Marathon gas station on Puritan Avenue at Fairfield Street, just east of Livernois Avenue. Police believe at least six suspects are involved -- two suspects from the first incident are also involved in the second incident.

The first incident happened around 2:22 a.m. Police say three suspects entered the business, assaulted and robbed a 23-year old man, taking his wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash. All three suspects fled the location in a silver Chevrolet Malibu. No injuries were reported.

An hour later, at 3:28 a.m., police say two of the original suspects returned to the gas station with three other suspects. This time, the group assaulted and robbed a 24-year-old man who was inside the business with his 21-year-old sister, according to police. The suspects took the man's wallet and cash, and the woman's cellphone. The man received minor injuries but refused treatment.

Two suspects fled in a white Chevrolet Caprice, two suspects fled in a black Pontiac Firebird and the remaining suspect fled on foot from the location. The Chevrolet Caprice was later recovered.
