Police: Cross-Dressing Bank Robber Fled Scene In Blue Mustang; $10,000 Reward Offered

BRIGHTON (WWJ) - Michigan State Police have released more information about a bank robbery in Brighton Township that involved a man dressed as a woman.

The robbery happened around 9:20 a.m. Monday at the PNC Bank on Grand River Avenue just north of I-96.

Police say the robber, who was wearing a dress, showed people inside the bank a gun and what appeared to be a bomb before taking off with an unknown amount of cash.

On Wednesday, police released a surveillance image of the blue Ford Mustang the suspect drove away from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 20- to 30-years-old. At the time, he was wearing a light-colored dress, a blue and white scarf and violet-colored trench coat.

PNC Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information.
