What The Color Of Your Car Says About You

Picture this: You walk into a car dealership or a used car lot and see the ride of your dreams. It's sleek and sporty, just the right size, and it screams "you."

Now, what color is it?

That's important because some research has shown that the color of your car actually says something about who you are.

According to Men's Health Magazine these car colors describe your personality:

RED: You're more likely to be aggressive and reckless.

Dark Blue/Silver : You're more upbeat than most people

Black : You're lacking self-confidence

Green : You tend to have a more positive outlook on life than others

Why are they connected?

"Color preferences change throughout time and may differ by region or vehicle type," Nancy Lockhart, a color marketing manager with Axalta Coating Systems (formerly DuPont), a global car-coating business in Detroit, told Bankrate.com. "The personality of the vehicle is as important as the personality of the buyer. The vehicle style, design and branding can influence color choices.

"A luxury sedan is more popular in black and white colors, but a small and sporty version is widely associated with red and colorful shades."

That means even if you can't get the car of your dreams, you can get the ride you can afford in the color of your dreams.
