Detroit Pistons Encourge Fans To Arrive Early For Tonight's Game Vs. Cleveland


AUBURN HILLS, Mich.
– With an earlier start time than normal (7:00 p.m.) and in anticipation of rush-hour traffic and an expected capacity crowd, the Detroit Pistons are encouraging fans to arrive early to The Palace of Auburn Hills for tonight's playoff game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Doors to The Palace will open at 5 p.m. and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. for player warm-ups and special team playoff introductions. Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round series between Detroit and Cleveland is set to tip at 7 p.m.

Fans can access all four entrances to The Palace of Auburn Hills: Harmon Rd., South Drive, North Drive and Direct Drive (I-75 ramp entrance from Lapeer Rd.). The I-75 Exit 81 (Lapeer Rd) will be open, but alternate routes are recommended to lessen congestion. Alternate Routes include:

• Exit 77 - M-59 West to Opdyke Road and go north
• Exit 79 - University Drive to Opdyke and go north. Direct Drive (I-75 ramp entrance from Lapeer Rd.) will be open follow signs.
• Exit north of The Palace at Exit 83 - Joslyn Road and follow the signs to the arena to enter at Harmon Drive.

Fans that arrive early can take advantage of food and drink specials during Power Hour from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. located in the North Pavilion. Guests can also visit the newly renovated East Terrace with locally-inspired street food fare and signature beverages at three dining destinations: Maplewood Barbeque, The Linkery and Eastside Tacos. Entertainment will start in the arena bowl at 6:15 p.m.
