Authorities Seek Suspicious Man Who Approached Teen In Oakland Township

OAKLAND TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities are looking for a suspect in what they're calling a case of "suspicious circumstance" in Oakland Township.

Oakland County Sheriff's officials say man in an older Lexus sedan approached a 14-year-old boy, pulling up outside his home in the 2700 -block of Invitational Drive Thursday evening.

He said to the teen: "Come help me, can you come to my car?"

The boy did not comply, officials said, instead running inside to get his house sitter. When the house sitter came out and approached the man, he drove away.

The suspect is described as a white male, age 55 to 60 years old. He was driving a black, late-90s, 4-door Lexus with a tan interior (photo above).
