Report: Kid Rock's Assistant Was Drunk At Time Of Fatal ATV Crash

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - A newly-released report from the medical examiner's office shows that Kid Rock's personal assistant had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when he crashed an ATV at the singer's property in Tennessee and died.

The report shows that 30-year old Michael Sacha's blood-alcohol level was .20 percent. The legal limit in Tennessee is .08 percent.

Sacha, a Michigan native, suffered fatal head and neck injuries in last month's crash on Kid Rock's estate near Nashville while shuttling people around the singer's property. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and a friend found Sacha on an embankment the next morning and called for help. He was dead when officers arrived.

Kid Rock, in a statement on his website, said he was "beyond devastated" over Sacha's death.
