Tigers Celebrate The 46th Annual Polish American Night At Comerica Park Friday

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers will host the 46th annual Polish American Night on Friday, May 20 as the Tigers face the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:10 p.m.

The concourse will be filled with Polish music from local bands including The Big Daddy Orchestra, The Kielbasa Kings, The Steve Drzewicki Band, the Natural Tones and accordion music from John Orischak will perform along the Comerica Park concourse and at the Brushfire Grill for fans entering the game. Keeping with tradition for over 40 years, hundreds of children in costume will perform a traditional Polish dance on the field prior to the game. And don't miss Detroit's favorite mascot, PAWS as he dresses up in his traditional Polish attire for this special cultural celebration.

In conjunction with Polish American Night, the Detroit Tigers Foundation's 50/50 Charity Raffle will benefit the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame. Their mission is to recognize and preserve outstanding achievement by individuals of Polish heritage in the field of sports and to educate the entire community with the hope of encouraging and inspiring personal excellence.
