DETROIT (WWJ) – A Redford man is behind bars, accused of shooting and wounding his son on Father’s Day.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office says 48-year-old Howard Lowry had an argument with his 16-year-old son at a home on Mercedes, near Inkster, at around 5 p.m. last Sunday — and things became physical.

Police said Lowry got upset when his other son, 23-year-old Marcus Ross, intervened. That’s when Lowry allegedly got his shotgun, and shot Ross twice  in the stomach, while Ross’s 1-year-old son was standing by him, according to prosecutors.
