Person Of Interest In Rape Of 18-Year-Old Flight Attendant Turns Himself In

ROMULUS (WWJ) -- A man wanted in the case of an alleged sexual assault at a hotel near Detroit Metro Airport turned himself in to police on Saturday.

Dwuan Parkman walked into the Romulus Police Department around 2:30 p.m. with his attorney and was taken into custody without incident.

The 44-year old, who was wanted on a probation violation, will be arraigned Tuesday.

On June 20, an 18-year-old flight attendant reported the rape. Surveillance images previously released to the public [see them hereshow a suspect arriving at around the same time as the victim, and loitering in and around the Days Inn where the incident took place — on Middlebelt, just south of I-94 — before disappearing from view.

Police are trying to determine how the suspect got into the teen's room. No weapons were seen and police said the door to the room was not damaged.
