The days of the Michigan and Adidas marriage are about to be done. Michigan's contract with Adidas is set to expire July 31 and come August 1 you will be able to buy new Michigan gear with the famous Jumpman logo.

Personally, this is killing me inside. I have grown up a Michael Jordan fan and when he decided to utter the words "Go Blue" it broke my heart.

This past weekend I was up north and my friends saw the story on CBSDetroit.com about Jordan being named the honorary captain for Michigan's home opener, my heart was broken even more. The one chance that I would have to meet the greatest basketball player to lace up his sneakers would only be at the one place I hate the most, The Big House, I wanted to cry.

Yes, it's that serious to me. My idol, the man who I have spent countless dollars on in the past will be supporting the school and team I dislike the most. My disdain for Michigan is far worse than my love for Jordan ever was. Now I don't know what to do with the 30 pairs of Air Jordan's I have in my closet.

Wednesday morning my heart broke a little bit more when Michigan/MDen showed off a few of the Jumpman Michigan shirts.

According to MDen.com:

Join us in the evening on July 31st for our Nike and Jordan Special Event at The M Den on Campus leading up to the store's midnight opening.

Michigan will have an unveiling for the new Jumpman jersey August 2 that will not be open to the public.

Now that the first few images of the Michigan and Jumpman relationship have surfaced, do you like the new gear?
