KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee has placed director of football operations Chris Spognardi on paid administrative leave.

Spognardi had worked directly with Volunteers coach Butch Jones at Central Michigan and Cincinnati before following him to Tennessee. Spognardi worked at Central Michigan first as a student assistant and later as a video coordinator. He started out at Cincinnati as an administrative coordinator and served as chief of staff in 2011 and 2012.
