WMU's P.J. Fleck Wears Full Pads At Practice And Has Sly Stallone Deliver Scholarship Reveal [VIDEO]

The phrase "Row the Boat" was how Western Michigan's head coach P.J. Fleck described the philosophy of his program this year, meaning everyone will pitch in to keep it moving forward. "Row The Boat is a method of how our whole program will fit together," Fleck told MLive.com.

Over the weekend, Fleck did one of the coolest things you will ever see a coach do. He dressed in full pads for practice. The 35-year-old Fleck ran out of the tunnel and then proceeded to challenge red shirt sophomore Kasey Carson to a goal line drill, saying he wanted to face someone "his size." Fleck stands at 5'10" and weighs 180 pounds, while Carson is 5'11" and 208 pounds.

The players, who are about as excited as can be, stand around while Fleck grabs the ball; Carson tackles him before the goal line and the Broncos lose it.

That's not even close to the best part of the video though. Fleck takes off his helmet and speaks with his team. He points out that Carson isn't that big but "he exemplifies everything that Western Michigan is all about." He then tells his players to look at the big screen in Waldo Stadium and that's when Sylvester Stallone appears with WMU billionaire alum Alec Gores.

Stallone talks about being a walk on and everything one has to put in even though they don't get all the glory on the field come Saturday. Stallone finished the video by telling Carson that he has been awarded with a full ride scholarship.  As the 'Rocky' theme music plays, his teammates lose it while congratulating Carson.

Last season, Carson appeared in nine games and had eight tackles with one of them being a tackle for loss.
