Survivor Nerd Recaps This Season's Show: Millennials Vs. Gen X

It's the Fall season again and if you're like me, all that means is a brand new season of Survivor. I've been watching this show since the first season when I was just seven years young.  I had this big, innocent crush on season one's winner, Richard Hatch, and I would stay up past my bedtime this school day of each week. I truly had developed an addiction to Survivor.

Since then, I've not missed a season. I even hosted my own version of a "Survivor Party" last year where I invited my friends over to be part of two tribes. I created challenges for them and we even went as far as creating and recording our own testimonials as we voted each other out.  I guess you can say I am a total, "outwit, outplay and outlast" nerd.

Thirty-three seasons later, I am very excited to share my weekly recaps on this season of Survivor. This time the cast is divided into two tribes, Millennials vs. Gen X, but what does this even mean?  This new term, "millennial," has been said about the younger generation today.  If you are born in the early 1980's to early 2000's, you are considered a millennial. If you were born in the mid-1960s to early 1980s, you are part of the Generation X tribe.  So, what tribe are you part of?

I'm a 90's baby, so I am a true millennial. What I am most excited about this season is to see the strategic play among these two generations.  Will we as viewers see the difference between the two tribes?  Will Millennials play their young part or act like an old soul?  Will Gen X show their older wisdom or lack a certain ability to relate to the millennials?
