Former UM Football's Jourdan Lewis Found Not Guilty Of Assault Against Ex-Girlfriend

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Former UM football player Jourdan Lewis has been found not guilty on both counts of assault against his former girlfriend.

A jury in Ann Arbor Tuesday found the Dallas Cowboy's rookie cornerback not guilty of the misdemeanor charges of assault stemming from an incident with his girlfriend in March.

The police report states the argument began when 21-year-old Nikole Miller returned to the apartment she shared with Lewis and he was asleep with the lights on -- allegedly Miller was angry about that because Lewis was not paying utility bills and the alleged assault happened shortly after Lewis was woken up.

Lewis did not take the stand in his own defense and the jury deliberated less than a day to bring back the verdict.
