Chilling Video Captures Active Shooter Opening Fire On Las Vegas Concert Goers

LAS VEGAS (WWJ/CBSNews) - Eyewitness video captures the horrifying moments when a barrage of gunfire rips into a crowd of music festival goers outside of Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

At least 50 people have been reported dead and over 400 injured in the mass shooting which took place late Sunday night during an outdoor concert -- drawing thousands.

A concert with country star Jason Aldeen was in the middle of a set when shots rang out and shortly after Aldeen fled the stage.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo telling CBS News the man authorities think was the sole gunman was killed by police on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a country music festival.

"We believe it's a solo actor. A lone wolf," Lombardo said.

Police say the 64-year-old male suspect, identified as Stephen Paddock, is dead.

Authorities have a woman in her 60s, identified as Marilou Danley, in custody.

Authorities are calling this the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
