Extra Police Presence At Livonia High School After Vague 'SHS' Threat

LIVONIA (WWJ) - Livonia police say they'll have extra patrols around Stevenson High School after a threat started circulating on social media.

The posting made reference to an impending threat Thursday at a school with the initials of SHS.

School officials say police investigated the posting and determined it was referencing a school out of state -- not Livonia Stevenson, located along 6 Mile Road near Farmington Road.

Still, out of an abundance of caution, a heightened police presence is expected at the school Thursday.
