World's 100 Greatest Places For 2018, According To Time Magazine

(CNN) -- Sometimes the world can seem like a giant Netflix watch list: Your to-do list gets longer and longer, and there's still new stuff to check out.

And now TIME magazine has added to your cultural anxiety by revealing its first list of the World's Greatest Places, which showcases 100 destinations it says are "breaking new ground, leading industry trends and offering visitors an extraordinary experience."

For more proof that Detroit is bouncing back, the Foundation Hotel made the list as one of the best places to stay. The hotel is which is home to the Apparatus Room restaurant, opened in May 2017 in a building that was formerly a fire station. The Foundation hotel is the only Michigan destination to make the coveted list.
