Southfield (CBS Detroit) – There are more small businesses starting than ever before as well as growing interest from young people who hope to become entrepreneurs which is why businesses, schools and organizations are teaming up to help them succeed.
Some enterprising young entrepreneurs as well as executives from GM, Guardian Industries appear on CBS 62’s MICHIGAN MATTERS at 11:30 this Sunday with Senior Producer/Host Carol Cain to talk about it.
Appearing are one panel: Mazy Gillis, Vice President Global Human Resources at Guardian Industries, Dylan McConnell, a student at Cornerstone Health and Technology High School and owner of Heir Customs and Renate Matthews, teacher at Cornerstone appear in one roundtable.
A second panel includes Keysha Camps, program engineering manager for autonomous vehicles at GM, Anna Sun, student at Detroit County Day and an entrepreneur, and Satori Shakoor, Social Entrepreneur and founder of The Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers.
Among topics broached: What does it take to succeed? And what advice do those who have done so have to share?
Camps talked about GM working with Ashoka on a national STEM 4 Changemaking Challenge for students.
