Whitmer Sends Two National Guard Companies To Aid Wisconsin In Handling Protests Over Jacob Blake

(CBS Detroit ) - Governor Whitmer has approved two national guard Companies to help Wisconsin handle its protests over the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Whitmer says the request was made by Wisconsin governor Tony Evers.

Whitmer's office says the companies are not federalized, which means they can be recalled back to Michigan at any time.
