(CBS DETROIT) – A 94-year-old woman is showing just how important it is to vote this year, by traveling 300 miles to cast her vote in Detroit.

Madison who is taking care of her sister in Chicago says her absentee ballot was late coming in.

Her adult children then drove her to and from Detroit to vote.

She says this is her 72nd year voting.
