Tiger
Tiger needs a special home and family to call her own. She is approximately 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated and healthy. Tiger has a hard life so far; bounced from home to home and now waiting for her forever home. She originally was in our adoption program at Pet Supplies Plus, but due to her "independent attitude" that didn't work out and she is now in a foster home.Tiger is a diva and she only responds to you on her terms. If she doesn't like something, she will let you know. Tiger likes people to be in the same room as she is, but she does not like to be picked up. She likes her head rubbed gently but if you touch her anywhere else, she will get upset. When she first came to her foster home, she hid for 3 days in her room. But once she was out, she started "talking" to her foster mom. Because of Tiger's independent diva attitude, she needs a certain kind of family to adopt her. Her new parent would be someone who has had cats before and understands that some cats prefer to be left to themselves most of the time. They would have to understand that she will need to come to them on her terms and that she is NOT a lap cat (and probably will never be). They would be willing to feed her, clean her litter boxes and take care of her but not expect much physical affection from her. She will NOT do well with dogs, other cats, kids under 18 years of age and a noisy household. In her foster home, she is in her own room. Her foster mom works out of the house in that room so Tiger does get to spend 8 + hours around her every day. While her foster mom works, Tiger lays contently behind her on a warm, fuzzy blanket. Once in awhile Tiger will walk across the foster mom's lap to get to the desk where she stands for a few minutes to get a head rub. But once Tiger is tired of that she leaves. We know the perfect home for Tiger is out there, we just need to find it. With your help we are hoping we can find it soon. Please share Tiger's information with your Facebook friends, who knows a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend might be willing to give this fuzzy girl a new home.
