Tortes are their specialty, but cupcakes are a close runner up in popularity. It's a full service bakery so don't be surprised to see lunch and dinner fare on the menu. At $1.75, the last time I checked, these cupcakes are a steal.

They're not called Pink Elephant for nothin'! Their specialty is a vanilla cake with hot pink butter cream frosting. Don't try to find their store, because it doesn't exist. Like I said it's delivery only. Put in your order and allow one week for the deliciousness to arrive. Get your fix for $2 each or $22 a dozen.

Although we are focusing on the Detroit Metro area I can't leave them out … They've been featured on Food Network's Challenge series competing with other premiere bakers to create extreme cakes. They offer four flavors per week introducing a new flavor each Monday. Last time Jenny brought some home I loved the salted caramel variety.

Just Baked was started in Livonia and has opened multiple locations in Metro Detroit. They're also adding franchises across the state and beyond. $2.95 will score you one cupcake. They have an impressive variety on the menu including everything from Apple Pie with a shortbread cookie bottom and fresh apples to a decadent White Chocolate Raspberry with vanilla cake, raspberry drizzle and white chocolate chips. Look for a franchise near you, but for the original experience head to the Livonia shop.
