One of the best and healthiest activities for a young child is getting out and spending time on a jungle gym. Opened in 2012, this play area has a terrific jungle gym that comes complete with a geometric dome that children can play on. There are plenty of thick ropes that kids can use to climb with and an assortment of new and safe playscapes to use. Parents can remain close by and keep an eye on their kids in full view of the jungle gym. Entrance to the park is free with a MetroParks pass; otherwise, it is $7 per entry for each vehicle. Annual passes are also well worth it.

George George Memorial Park is one of Clinton Township’s most well-loved park by parents and children alike. With more than 30 acres of park area, this gorgeous and wide-spanning park also comes equipped with a very large jungle gym that children can explore and play on while parents watch and interact with other parents. There is a wide range of activities in this jungle gym that will keep all ages of children entertained, from toddlers all the way to budding teenagers.

Dodge Park is and has been one of the crown jewels of Sterling Heights for many decades. The park itself is a sprawling natural wonder, and the playscape there is home to one of the most well-loved jungle gyms in Metro Detroit. This “barrier-free” jungle gym is said to be the largest in all of Macomb County and has it all, from climbing walls to slides, bars, swings and so much more, all nestled nicely into a fine wooded setting. Dodge Park is the perfect place for parents to be active in their children’s playtime by joining them in the jungle gym too!

With a large jungle gym and wide grounds for children to play in, this park and jungle gym is a great place for parents to take their kids when they’re in the area and looking to play. The best feature here is the pirate ship jungle gym that allows children to feel like they’re playing on a real live action scene. An annual pass to the MetroParks system will get parents and their children in for free, so it’s well worth the cost as well.
