Best Paintball Arenas Near Detroit

The paintball community has continued to grow in Michigan and along with it, the places where you can enjoy the sport in a wide variety of ways. With the explosion of web communities and players comes a sure way to find out which places to go and which to avoid. The five below have all scored high when rated by the players themselves. Each of the locations offers supplies, rentals and other items you may need. So if you are just starting out or need new gear, you will be able to find it before loading up the paintball hopper.

At Lone Wolf East, located on the grounds of Gibraltar Trade Center near Mt. Clemens, you will find over 40 acres where the sport of paintball can come into its own. Game areas range from a speedball field for high-intensity action to a tactical woods battlefield and just about everything in between. Open since 1998, Lone Wolf routinely receives high marks from area paintball enthusiasts.

Paintball is hell when you head to the battlefields of Hell Survivors. With over 180 acres, 12 battlefields and 14 bunkers, it is paintball mayhem for those who want it. Special events are always on the calendar with the likes of Global Conquest, for those paintballers who think big, and to not leave out zombies, which are all the rage, there is the Monster Game. This is a paint-only field and all ammo must be purchased from the Hell Survivors shop. Single-session play is $15 and all-day play is $20.

If you are looking for an open-play paintball facility close to home, then Action Paintball Park is the place to go. One of the newest and larger paintball parks in Southeast Michigan, you will find 42 acres filled with woods and professionally constructed fields to splat your friends with paint. Rates are reasonable at $25 for an entire day of paintball fun. Special rates are given for those who purchase all their ammo at the park and entry to the park for open-play sessions is free for ladies, active military and on your birthday.

For the past 13 years, Killer Paintball has been offering some of the top play fields for the paintball set on two indoor fields. Being inside offers a chance to play in scenarios that would never be possible on the outdoor battlefield. During each session, both private and public games can take place, so if you have a group and want to have some fun, Killer can serve it up. Each month, there are special offers and discount rates, so ask about them when you head over. A three-hour session is only $15, which offers beginners the chance to try their luck for only a little cash.

If you want a mix of inside and outside fun, with a paintball gun, then Phoenix Tactical is the place to go. With a 6,000-square-foot indoor arena with two floors and five acres outside, you will not be bored. At Phoenix, you will find game play going on that incorporates players into a wide variety of scenarios, from capture the flag competitions to total free-for-alls. It is always good to check in advance to see just what type of game is going on the day you want to attend. You will find what you are looking for when it comes to variety at Phoenix Tactical. Entry is $15 for those who register in advance and $20 for walk-ins.
